Movie Challenge Quickfire, Round 2

Once again I flaked but I have really good excuse! I was busy making a moving for the past month, which was a really awesome experience and I can’t wait for everyone to see the finished product.

Anyway, here’s another quickfire:

Day 14 – A movie that no one would expect you to love: Pulp Fiction. People are always surprised when they find out I’m a huge Tarantino fan. Probably because I typically hate blood and gore, but he has a way of making it look so damn cool.

Day 15 – A character who you can relate to the most: Tough one. Are movie characters people we can relate to nowadays? Considering the material and the remakes?

Day 16 – A movie that you used to love but now hate: Drop Dead Fred. It’s only good if you’re a kid. Once you become an adult, you’re annoyed to no end by minute 30!

Day 17 – A movie that disappointed you the most: Most recently? The Lovely Bones. That movie should have been so much better than it was. The book is heartbreaking and the movie was just blah! Heavy handed direction at its finest.

Day 18 – A movie that you wish more people would’ve seen: Teeth & The Babysitters. Both movies are super crazy and once upon I time I used to force people to watch them when they would come over to hang out.

Day 19 – Favorite movie based on a book/comic/etc: Batman. All of them.  From Tim Burton to Chris Nolan, I’ve never met a Batman film that I didn’t like. Well, with the exception of Batman & Robin (1997). That was painful.

Day 20 – Favorite movie from your favorite actor/actress: Natalie Portman (before the Black Swan hype) in Closer. One of my favorite movies.

Day 21 – Favorite action movie: The Boondock Saints.

Day 22 – Favorite documentary: Most recently, Exit Through The Gift Shop.

Day 23 – Favorite animation: The Lion King. Followed closely by Beauty and the Beast.

My sister says I look like the unabomber. A very happy, adorable and non-threatening unabomber.

Movie Challenge Quickfire

This is why I prefer paper clips over staplers - commitment is obviously not my strong suit.

Day 07 – The most surprising plot twist or ending: The Usual Suspects, “the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist” - one of the best endings ever. Still blows my mind.

Day 08 – A movie that you’ve seen countless times: Selena, one summer I actually watched it every single day. Was obsessed with Jennifer Lopez right up until the point where she became “J-LO”

Day 09 – A movie with the best soundtrack: Purple Rain, gah, it’s sooo good! I could listen to it everyday.

Day 10 – Favorite classic movie: Singing in the Rain and/or anything with Gene Kelly, Cary Grant or Sidney Poitier.

Day 11 – A movie that changed your opinion about something: Joan Rivers A Piece of Work - drastically changed my opinion about Joan Rivers. Pretty good doc.

Day 12 – A movie that you hate: The Lake House- seriously, I’m still trying to figure out what the hell that was about?

Day 13 – A movie that is a guilty pleasure: The Karate Kid - the original, not that Jaden Smith remake.

Proof positive that Michelle Williams is one of greatest working actresses of our generation! Trailer doesn’t completely sell me but I know she’ll pull this off.

For those days when I’m unable to watch the film, the Garden State soundtrack pretty much serves the same purpose. @MsSewAndSew_
